Bowen Golf is proud to be a First Tee BC location. We offer proven systems have helped hundreds of thousands of kids discover their love for the game. Those under 19 play for free, with free rental clubs, and with the support of First Tee BC, we offer many subsidized or free programs.

First Tee BC: Building Game Changers

First Tee is more than golf lessons — it's a youth development program that uses golf to teach life skills. As a First Tee facility, Bowen Golf is committed to helping young people build character, confidence, and resilience that extends far beyond the golf course. Get Into Golf with our Operation 36 Programming

Operation 36 revolutionizes golf instruction by starting you just 25 yards from the green. Your goal? Shoot 36 (par) or better over 9 holes to progress to the next level. This approach builds confidence, creates early success, and provides a clear roadmap from beginner to skilled golfer.

How it works:

  1. Start at Level 1: Play 9 holes starting 25 yards from each green
  2. Shoot Par (36) to Progress: When you achieve par or better, move to Level 2 (50 yards)
  3. Continue Through 10 Levels: Progress through increasingly challenging distances
  4. Track Everything: Use the Op 36 mobile app to log scores, watch skill videos, and monitor improvement
  5. Learn with Experts: Weekly group classes with your coach teaching the 12 core skills at each level
