Absolutely! Bowen Golf Club welcomes visitors year-round, subject to tee time availability. While our members enjoy advance booking privileges, we maintain plenty of tee times for visitors to experience our unique course. We recommend booking online in advance, especially during peak summer months. No formal dress code applies—we embrace Bowen Island's relaxed atmosphere—and rental clubs are available if you're traveling without your gear.
Golf for Everyone (including your dog!). We welcome your furry friends on the course providing they are on leash and well-behaved. You can also bring your dog on the outdoor patio when enjoying a post-round drink and meal at The Shed.
We pride ourselves on being one of the most family-friendly golf facilities anywhere! Kids under 18 play free with a paying adult, we offer complimentary club rentals for juniors 14 and under, and our Junior Golf Program provides structured learning opportunities for young golfers. The Shed restaurant features a relaxed atmosphere with spaces for children to play, and dogs are welcome throughout our property—including on the course. Many families make a day of it, combining golf with a meal at The Shed and exploration of Bowen Island.
Not at all. Our course is designed to be enjoyable for players of all skill levels, from beginners to low-handicap golfers. With three sets of tee boxes on each hole, you can choose the distance that suits your ability. Our PGA-certified instructors offer lessons if you're looking to improve, and our welcoming community creates a pressure-free environment to learn the game. Remember our motto: "Golf for Everyone" isn't just a tagline—it's how we approach everything we do.
Few courses offer the combination of natural beauty, accessibility, and community spirit found at Bowen Golf. Playing through our rainforest setting with ocean views creates an unforgettable experience that changes with the seasons. Our laid-back approach—where dogs are welcome on the course and there's no stuffy dress code—reflects the island's character. The addition of The Acre practice facility and The Shed restaurant has transformed us into a community hub. Plus, at just 20 minutes by ferry from Horseshoe Bay, we're a true island escape that's surprisingly easy to reach from Vancouver.
