What exactly is a mixed scramble, you might wonder? Well, it's a fun tournament where participants names are thrown into a bucket, mixed up, and then randomly drawn to form teams.

This unique format offers a great opportunity to mingle, make new golfers, and enjoy a relaxed and fun scramble. Whether you're a seasoned golfer or just starting out, the mixed scramble is designed to be inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.

Discover the Arts of Bowen Island. Join us for a FREE Self Guided Tour of 21 Art Studios and Hubs. Over 130 artists will be sharing their love of art with you. Sculpture, Photography, Painting, Ceramics, Jewellery, Textiles, Literary Works, and more.

Each day will also offer a variety of Musical Performances and Literary Readings. This is a unique opportunity to see artists studios, meet with them, purchase art and get to know more about their processes.

TK Scramble

In the loving memory of our friend Tim Kerr, we will be hosting our Annual Two-Person TK Scramble on June 23rd. This will be a day of joy and a chance to celebrate the friendships Bowen Golf has helped create. 

Sign up with a family member, friend or solo and we will match you up with a partner. 
A Two-Person Scramble is a competition format that is exactly what it sounds like: a scramble in which the teams consist of two players each. After each golfer on a team plays a stroke, the teammates compare the results and select the best one. Both players then play the next stroke from that spot. Each team must use at least 3 of each players tee box shots.
Your team will also have a choice of playing 9 or 18 holes. 

We invite you to stay after your round for awards, and a toast to TK at The SHED.

Masters Tournament

BG is happy to announce, our first tournament of the year! If you're new to BG's Masters Tournament, get ready for an exciting experience – and perhaps even the chance to win a prestigious yellow jacket!

 

Here's what you can expect from the tournament format:

Format: Participants will be randomly paired with a professional golfer competing in Saturday's Masters Tournament. This unique setup means you'll not only be rooting for yourself but also for your "teammate" on the PGA tour. Rest assured, they'll be cheering for you as well...

To keep things fair and exciting, you won't know who your Saturday's Masters Teammate is until after your round when you turn in your scorecard. This ensures that you give your best effort regardless of whether your partner is making birdies or facing challenges.

The winners will be announced at the end of the tournament on Saturday with a presentation of our 3 Masters Yellow Blazers; Mens, Women's & Juniors.

 

We invite all to join us at The Shed on Sunday to continue supporting your partner. We'll have refreshing drink specials, including $6 short beer cans and $7 tall beers, to enhance your experience.

Aloha SIM Room Tournament

Even though we may not be physically in Hawaii,
let's bring the spirit of the tropical paradise to Bowen! 
The TK Centre is transforming our SIM room into Maui for the 3rd week of December. 

🏌️‍♂️ Tournament Details:

  • Format: Two Person Scramble (Gross and Net), Choose 9 or 18 holes (or both)

  • Date: Monday, Dec 18th to Saturday, Dec 23rd

  • Time: 2 hour (9 holes) or 3 hour (18 holes) time slot in the TrackMan Sim Room, including a 10-minute warm-up on the range

  • Location: TrackMan Sim Room in the TK Centre

Halloween Tournament Registration

Join us for a spooky day at Bowen Golf!

This tournament is a three-club, four-person team scramble BUT the team must agree to all carry the same three clubs. We will use all three tee boxes, the direction of which will be provided on Tournament Day.

Players with a Handicap over 20 can carry four clubs, one of which must be a putter.

Costumes are highly encouraged as there is a costume contest.
There will also be prizes for Low Gross Team, Low Net Team, and more. Prizes will be announced at end of the day.

Canucks Junior Golf Week

The Vancouver Canucks partnership with the PGA of British Columbia are proud to announce the return of Canucks Junior Golf Week for 2023, this year featuring Bowen Golf as one of their partnering locations.

This continued community partnership and program is designed to help children and youth from across British Columbia stay active and engaged in sport. Canucks Junior Golf Week will be held July 7-17th with Bowen Golf wrapping up the event on July 17th. 

Children and youth aged 5 and up will have fun learning the game through single-day camps instructed by certified PGA of BC Golf Professionals in their respective communities. Boys and girls from all sports and all skill levels are encouraged to register – no previous golf experience, or equipment is necessary to participate!

Date: July 17th

Time: 4PM, 5PM, 6PM

Cost: $20

Includes equipment rental (if required), and certified golf instruction. Each participant will also take home a gift courtesy of our program partners, including an item featuring the Canucks logo.

Family Tournament- Dave Jennings Memorial Tournament

Our family tournament is on Fathers Day and we're encouraging all ages to sign up. This event has been a tradition at Bowen Golf since 2006. It is Bowen Golf, and the Jennings family's, opportunity to put light on the importance of Junior Golf. The future of our course and sport, starts with the juniors we inspire. 
Our goal is a fun day outing for the whole family. The only thing we ask, is that you wear your party shirts & outfits! 

We will be putting out the orange rocks for the Junior and beginner golfers of all ages.  Junior golfers play for free, participants over the age of 18 fee is $42. Entry comes with prizes on every hole, entertainment, and a free refreshment on the course (Adult & kids drinks available).
You can sign up a team or individually, and we will assign you a spot. This tournament is a scramble and will start at 10:00 with 10 minute intervals.

Bowen Golf has teamed up with a on Island sommelier to host a Wine Tasting Event!

This tasting will take you through some of the new wines on our Spring Wine List launch. 
Theme: South America! Our lovely chef Memo has spent the last few months in Central and South America and has brought his inspiration back with him to The Shed. 

The night will take you through 5 different kinds of wines chosen by our Sommelier to pair with 3 rounds of tapas. We will be doing 2 seatings, the first one at 4:30PM and the second at 6:30PM. We've kept it to 12 per seating so the Sommelier can engage in questions and comments.
Please note which seating you'd prefer below. We can't guarantee that we will be able to fulfill everyones requests.

BG is happy to announce, our first tournament of the year! For those of you who aren't familiar with BG's Masters Tournament, you're in for a treat... And maybe even a yellow jacket! 

Format:
We will be randomly matching you up with a golfer in Saturday's Masters Tournament. So not only will you be cheering for yourself, but the pressure is on for your "teammate" on the PGA tour. And trust me, they're cheering for you too.

It is only at the end of your round, in exchange for your scorecard, that you will be advised on who your Saturday's Masters Teammate is. This way you won't slack off if you know Scottie Scheffler will be sinking putts for you. 

The winners will be announced at the end of the tournament on Saturday with a presentation of our 3 Masters Yellow Blazers; Mens, Women's & Juniors.

Golfathon for the Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis

Many Canadians have a strong connection to Ukraine. We all feel for the many colleagues, clients, and community members who have deep connections to Ukrainian family and friends here in Canada and in the Ukraine. To those who are living this nightmare, we share their worry for loved ones and stand with them in the hope that this catastrophic war and resultant refugee crisis will end soon. 

 

Hoping to make a difference to the lives of these refugees, Peter Boronkay, a governor of Golf Canada and resident portfolio manager, along with a team of volunteers is attempting to set a new Bowen Island golf course record for the number of rounds played in one day. Peter will play from dawn to dusk in order to attempt to complete 10 rounds (90 holes) on Monday, June 6, 2022.
