Building on Our Success

Since February 2025, the Board has been making direct appeals to individuals to fund the Bowen Golf 2025 Capital Campaign — funds that will be used to upgrade our 20 year-old facilities and infrastructure that are showing their age.

We are thankful and thrilled to report that thanks to these generous contributions, we have raised in excess of $425,000 — more than 80 percent of our $500,000 goal. It has also been gratifying to see a new generation of supporters step forward to help at this crucial time.

Now, it's everyone's turn to contribute and get us over the top, as we launch a member-wide appeal for contributions to the Bowen Golf 2025 Capital Campaign.

Standing on the Shoulders of Our Founders

We are standing on the shoulders of our founders who had a vision to create a golf course for all on Bowen. Low annual playing fees, no waits for tee times, free golf for juniors, a place for older adults to stay active and connected. These are just some of the benefits we all enjoy — and with your help, we will continue to enjoy for years to come.

And while golf course operations are turning a profit, we aren't generating the surpluses we need to tackle some of the more expensive items in front of us.

Critical Infrastructure Needs

Things like:

• Bridge repairs on #7 and to the maintenance yard

• Repairs, maintenance and upgrades to The Shed

• Greens equipment upgrades and repairs

• Maintenance and repairs to Lucas Lake (our reservoir)

• Golf cart fleet improvements and path repair

Your Support Makes the Difference

Please consider making a contribution today. Although we will be thankful for any and all amounts, because of the amount we need to raise and administration and processing costs, we have set a minimum contribution of $100.

The Bowen Island Golf Association is not a charity, so contributions are not eligible for tax receipts.
